Midfielder eager to play in Football League again
Macclesfield Town have completed the signing of Ross Draper from non-league side Hednesford Town.
The two clubs agreed a fee last week and former Shrewsbury youngster Draper has now signed a one-year contract.
Draper is happy to have secured a move to Moss Rose and is looking forward to a second chance of playing in the Football League.
"I've always wanted to return to full-time football and the Football League in particular," the midfielder told the club's
official website.
"I'd had interest from Conference clubs, but I really wanted the opportunity to be in the Football League. That's been the dream since I left Shrewsbury.
"I'd spoken to the gaffer before I went away and he sold the club to me. He told me who he was planning on bringing in and I couldn't wait to get back."
Silkmen boss Keith Alexander has been active in the transfer market this week, having already added Colin Daniel and Hamza Bencherif to his squad.
