PSG ace Stephane Sessegnon has signed a contract extension with the French club.
Rumoured Chelsea target agrees to stay in France
Paris St Germain ace Stephane Sessegnon has signed a contract extension, ending rumours of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
The midfielder had been linked with a summer move to Manchester City, Everton or Chelsea amidst rumours of a row with the PSG hierarchy.
Sessegnon was said to be concerned that the Ligue 1 outfit had not demonstrated that they wanted him to stay.
But, after drawn-out negotiations the 25-year-old Benin international has put pen-to-paper on improved terms in the French capital.
He told PSG's
official website: "I am glad to prolong my stay. It was my objective to be able to remain here. I like this club.
"To know that PSG really needs me, that is the most important in my eyes."
Meanwhile, Jerome Rothen has been suspended for criticising PSG's management in a newspaper interview.
The club have announced that the winger is restricted to the sidelines "until the evening of 10th July".
