Juve legend lands new role

Atalanta have sacked Angelo Gregucci and appointed Antonio Conte. Conte has been out of work since quitting newly promoted Bari in the summer. The Juventus legend had been strongly tipped to land the Old Lady hot-seat in the summer, but he missed out to Cira Ferrara. Now he has accepted the chance to replace Gregucci, who only took charge at the Bergamo in the summer from Gigi Del Neri. Whilst Gregucci's exit was widely expected, Conte's arrival is something of a shock with Daniele Arrigoni and Mario Beretta tipped as the most likely candidates to take on the role.
