Roma star set for month out
Francesco Totti has undergone an operation on his knee and is expected to be sidelined for around a month.
The Roma playmaker was sent for surgery on Monday afternoon after pulling out of training with a recurrence of a tendinitis problem.
The procedure went smoothly and Totti will now begin his rehabilitation on Tuesday.
"The surgery has been positive, it was eight minutes long," the 33-year-old's personal trainer Vito Scala told the Italian media.
"I don't know if Francesco will recover in two or three weeks, but it's sure he will be at Roma headquarters on Tuesday."
Reports suggest Totti, who injured the same knee 18 months ago, will be fit to return to action by the end of November.
