Gabon shocked Cameroon in their African Cup of Nations opener with a 1-0 win in Lubango. Hull City striker Daniel Cousin was the hero for Gabon as he scored the only goal of the game on 17 minutes. Cameroon failed to clear their lines properly and Cousin went clear to slot the ball past Carlos Kameni. Cameroon laid siege to the Gabon goal, but they could not find a way through as Gabon held on for a famous victory. The defeat leaves Cameroon with an uphill battle to qualify for the next phase with Zambia next up for Paul Le Guen's men.
