Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman revealed the influential defender will miss the remainder of the Championship campaign through injury and becomes the latest casualty at the Ricoh Arena. The centre-back was absent in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United having being substituted late on in the 3-0 reverse at Reading on Easter Monday. McPake was left with both groin and knee complaints after being on the receiving end of a fierce tackle in the Madejski Stadium loss and Coleman hopes the 25-year-old Scotsman can avoid surgery. "I don't think he needs an operation, I hope not, but, like Jon Stead and Gary Deegan, we won't be seeing him for the rest of the season," said the Welshman.
