Pirlo leaving Milan

Andrea Pirlo has confirmed he is to leave AC Milan at the end of the season when his contract expires.

But Inzaghi stays with Rossoneri

Andrea Pirlo has confirmed he is to leave AC Milan at the end of the season. The veteran midfielder's contract expires in the summer and he will not be signing a new deal. The news ends Pirlo's ten-year stay with the Rossoneri, with reports suggesting he is set to join Juventus. "I am here to say goodbye. These were 10 unforgettable years and it's a consensual separation." "Do I hope Milan will regret losing me? Yes." Juventus are believed to have offered the World Cup winner a three-year deal to make the move to Turin.

Inzaghi boost

Better news for Milan is that Filippo Inzaghi has agreed a one-year extension at the San Siro. The 37-year-old, who missed most of this season with a serious knee injury, has been rewarded with a new deal for his service to the club. "AC Milan announces that Inzaghi has extended his contract until June 30, 2012," read a club statement.
