Striker fears an early Euro exit for Mancini's men

Edin Dzeko has warned his Manchester City team mates that anything other than a win against Villarreal this week could see them dumped out of the Champions League. The club have yet to taste defeat domestically and are currently top of the table after their best ever start to the Premier League. But Roberto Mancini's men have struggled in European games this season and find themselves in third place behind Bayern Munich and Napoli. A win over the Spanish side at the Etihad Stadium last time out has given them hope of reaching the knock-out stages of the competition for the first time. And with the top two in the group meeting in Germany on the same night Dzeko, 25, believes anything less than doing the double over Villerreal will all but end their current charge for silverware on four fronts. "It is the most important game of the group," Dzeko said. "After the last game, we won but it was very difficult. Now we are two points behind Napoli. "They have a tough game in Munich and I think if we win in Villarreal, we will go up to second in the group. "I think we have to win in Spain - that's the only result to keep us in the game."
