Ferguson keen to take no risks with midfielder's ankle injury

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Tom Cleverley is likely to miss Manchester United's next two games due to an ankle injury. He sat out training on Tuesday morning and has been ruled out of United's UEFA Champions League tie with Otelul Galati on Wednesday evening. Ferguson is keen not to take any risks with the 22-year-old and is also likely to leave Cleverley out of his plans for Saturday's game against Sunderland. "Tom won't play tomorrow," said the United manager. "It is not serious. He got a little tweak on Saturday but we have to take the long view. "We need to make sure he will be available for a long period, rather than play him again and the decision comes back to haunt us, so I think he will miss the Saturday game also."
