Bhoys stopper hoping results will kick-start season
Celtic right-back Cha Du-Ri believes the Bhoys have put themselves back on course by securing two 'important' victories on the bounce.
The Hoops produced hard-working displays to clinch wins at home to Rennes in the Europa League on Thursday and at Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League at the weekend.
Those results came at a critical time for Neil Lennon's side, who have been hindered by injury so far this season and have struggled to find form in the early stages of the campaign.
But 31-year-old South Korea international Cha feels Celtic, currently second in the SPL but 12 points adrift of Old Firm rivals Rangers, have turned a corner after back-to-back wins.
Pressure
He told the
Daily Record: "Last week we were met with a very difficult situation for the team and the coach.
"It was said that we simply had to win the next two games and there was a lot of pressure on us.
"And we had so many injuries, we struggled to get enough players to get a team out.
"It was probably the most challenging situation I have seen since I joined Celtic.
"So to win both the games was very important.
"Sometimes you learn more about a team and players when you are in positions such as this and we showed a lot of courage to win the two matches.
"We have bounced back and showed character to do that."
