Midfielder expected to leave Sochaux in the summer
Marvin Martin claims to be happy with his situation at Sochaux, with the club having promised to leave themselves open to offers.
The 23-year-old midfielder shot to prominence after netting twice on his senior debut for France in a meeting with Ukraine back in June.
There had been interest before then, but speculation regarding his future began to dominate the headlines from that point on.
Sochaux made it clear that they had no intention of selling, though, and Martin was informed that no sale would be sanctioned.
He admits to having been left slightly disappointed by that decision, but is pleased to hear that the door to a possible summer exit in 2012 remains ajar.
"Staying has been difficult. It has affected me," Martin told
L'Equipe.
"But I have held good talks with the chairman and finally I am happy with the situation. The officials have promised not to lock the door."

Martin signed a contract that is set to run until 2015 in September, but club chairman Alexandre Lacombe admits he is unlikely to see out that agreement.
He has revealed that Lille made an official approach over the summer and he is expecting to receive several more calls next year.
"We met last January to tell him that he wouldn't be leaving," said Lacombe.
"He was not in the spotlight then. Then he was outstanding and scored a double against Ukraine and it became madness.
"There were rumours from everywhere, but I can tell you that I only had two calls from Lille chairman Michel Seydoux and I said no. There were no written offers.
"He agreed that it was better to stay at Sochaux and prepare for Euro 2012. He will do his job for us and then he will have choices.
"Will he leave next summer? There is nothing agreed on paper or verbally, but it is looking likely."
