Boss keen on Sweden defender
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has admitted he is interested in signing Sweden international Mikael Lustig.
The Rosenborg defender's contract is due to expire and has also been linked with a move to Espanyol and Fulham.
A possible switch to Celtic, though, appears to be exciting Lustig the most after he spoke to Hoops defender and international team-mate Daniel Majstorovic about life with the Bhoys.
The 24-year-old said he was 'excited' about a potential move to Glasgow and when asked whether he was planning a swoop for the defender, Lennon admitted he had been aware of his talents for some time.
"He's a right-back who plays in Norway but he is Swedish. He is a player we have been tracking for a while," said the Celtic boss.
Meanwhile, Lennon has also offered support for one of his current players, Anthony Stokes, after the striker's home was attacked for the second time.
Stokes' pregnant wife was alone in their home in west Lothian when a window was smashed in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Targeted
The former Sunderland man's home had also reportedly been targeted after an Old Firm encounter last season.
Lennon can empathise with Stokes' off-field plight after he was sent bullets and parcel bombs in the post last season, leading to him having 24-hour security, and he revealed the striker is now considering moving.
"Obviously it is, again, the downside of the off-field stuff that goes on here," Lennon added.
"We had a chat with him yesterday and he is OK.
"It is something that should never happen, not just to Anthony but anybody.
"His young girlfriend is pregnant and I think he is going to move out of the area now and find somewhere else to live because it's not the first time that it has happened.
"However, on the field he has been superb, he has been a huge player for us for in the last couple of months."
