Hammers have no plans to part with highly-rated youngsters

West Ham United chairman David Gold says the club have no plans to sell James Tomkins in the January transfer window. Tomkins has been linked with a £3million move to Queens Park Rangers as Neil Warnock continues his efforts to improve his Loftus Road squad. The 22-year-old has been an impressive figure in the West Ham defence this season following the club's relegation from the Premier League. His form has attracted interest from the top flight, but Gold is determined to keep Tomkins at Upton Park as part of the Hammers' push to win promotion. "He's not for sale for £3m," said Gold. "Nobody is up for sale. "There is no plan to sell our good young players. We must do all we can to keep our best players. Our goal is promotion."
