Hungarian picks up knee injury in defeat at home to Spurs
West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera claims the injury he suffered in the 3-1 defeat at home by Tottenham is not serious.
The 32-year-old Hungary international is, however, still expected to have a scan on a knee injury he sustained in the game at The Hawthorns.
Gera lasted just 20 minutes before clutching his knee as the Baggies went down to their third loss in four Premier League games.
But Gera told
Pepsifoci: "According to the first diagnosis, it's not likely that my injury is serious."
Meanwhile, head coach Roy Hodgson said: "He will have a scan. It is his left knee. He has twisted it.
"We missed him enormously and (striker) Shane Long could only play 70 minutes. He's had a groin problem all week.
"But I thought the shape of the team was good, the passing was good, the movement was good and the result wasn't. That is basically it."
According to reports, the medical staff at West Brom believe Gera could miss up to one or two weeks with the injury.
