Rangers have offered Norwegian midfielder Thomas Bendiksen the chance to extend his stay at Ibrox. The 22-year-old, who scored in Tuesday's friendly with Hamburg, was handed his first competitive start in Saturday's 2-1 SPL win over Dunfermline. Bendiksen's six-month contract is set to expire in January, but McCoist is keen for him to pen new terms. "We have offered Thomas a new contract and hopefully we can get that one over the line," revealed McCoist. "I've spoken to his agents a couple of times. I spoke to him before the Hamburg game, we were keen to re-sign Thomas even before the Hamburg game. "He's had a tough time with injury and hopefully that's all behind him now."
