Midfielder could miss busy Christmas period after picking up injury
West Brom midfielder James Morrison revealed he would one day like to score a tap-in after his stunning strike in the 2-1 victory against Blackburn.
The Scotland international broke the deadlock at Ewood Park when he smashed a fierce volley from the edge of the area past Paul Robinson.
Scott Dann scrambled in an equaliser with 18 minutes to go, but Blackburn were left empty-handed by Peter Odemwingie's 89th-minute winner.
But the 25-year-old admitted after the game that he would be happy to score a simple goal after making a name for himself with a string of stunning efforts during his time at Albion.
He told
Sky Sports: "All I seem to do is score 'worldy' goals. I think I'd like a tap-in, but I'm delighted to score because it's been coming and I'm delighted that we've got three three points."
Asked what was going through his mind when the ball was dropping through the air, he said: "I like volleying the ball and I just hit it and as soon as I hit it I knew it was flying in.
"It was probably one of my best. Obviously last season against Manchester United was one of my best, but certainly that's up there."
Injury
Morrison admitted the Baggies played on the unease amongst the Rovers team and criticism they received during the game, saying: "It's not easy playing in front of a frustrating home crowd and the lads put a performance in and made the crowd get on their backs."
The only downside of Albion's victory was that Morrison picked up a hamstring injury and he could miss the busy Christmas period.
He added: "I was playing well and then my hamstring goes but hopefully it's not too bad and I can get back as quickly as possible."
