Bhoys boss not guaranteed to bid for striker
Celtic manager Neil Lennon fears the club could be dragged into a bidding war for Maritimo striker Baba Diawara.
The 40-year-old has watched the Senegalese striker in recent weeks, although Russian club CSKA Moscow are also said to be interested.
Lennon has confirmed Diawara is on the club's radar, however, he insists there are no guarantees they will bid for the striker.
"It might turn it into a bidding war - but I never said I was in for Diawara," said Lennon.
"He is just a player who has come to our attention over the course of six to eight months and we have watched him a few times."
Meanwhile, Lennon has confirmed Daniel Majstorovic's surgery on a fractured cheekbone was a success.
Success
The Swedish defender sustained the blow in Sunday's win over St Johnstone and will be unavailable for at least four weeks.
"We got good news, he has had the surgery and it has gone very well," he continued.
"We were worried that the initial injury could have meant a three-month period but we are looking at four-to-six weeks.
"He will have a few days off and then he will come in and do some work. It is a blow to lose him but it could have been worse."
