Striker swayed by Swans boss Rodgers and his style of football

Swansea striker Danny Graham insists he made the right decision to snub Tuesday's opponents Queens Park Rangers. Swans boss Brendan Rodgers beat off competition from their newly-promoted rivals to secure the summer signature of the £3.5m man from Watford. A number of other Premier League clubs, including West Brom, were also interested in signing the 26-year-old. But Graham admitted he was swayed by the Welsh club's attractive style of football.

Tempted

He said: "I went to speak to QPR and I was tempted by them. "They are obviously a club on the up and have a lot of money to back that up. "But in terms of football, I thought Swansea was better suited for me. "I'm a centre-forward and can be a target man but I like to play football as well. "Swansea pass and move and have fast wingers so I thought it was better for my development as a player. "The style of football was the main factor for me coming here."
Chance
The Swans' record buy, who has netted five goals this term, also wanted to repay the faith shown in him by Rodgers. Former Watford boss Rodgers agreed the deal to take Graham from Carlisle to Vicarage Road in summer 2009. However, the Northern Irishman left the Hornets for Reading before the Geordie striker arrived at the club. Graham added: "To spend £3.5m is a heck of a lot for a club of the size of Swansea City. "Brendan has shown how much he rates me as a player and how much he believes I can come in and score goals. "I have finally got the chance to work with him and I love it."
