Potter boss delighted with experienced duo
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis piled the praise on match-winner Peter Crouch following their 2-1 win at Blackburn Rovers.
The England international scored both goals for the visitors while Pulis was also delighted with Jonathan Woodgate's contribution at right-back.
Crouch was a constant threat throughout due to his aerial ability while he also showed some delightful touches using his feet.
Woodgate has come under fire for his displays at right-back, although Pulis felt he performed well in their Ewood Park success.
Quality
"Crouch has been fantastic," commented Pulis. "I thought him and Woodgate were very, very good today. They've got great quality.
"They are top, top players. Their attitude towards the rest of the players and group has been fantastic.
"I think (Crouch's) unplayable at times. If you stick the right quality into him he'll score goals.
"He's as fit as a flea. He's played a full game against Wigan. He's come here and played a full game. Right at the end he's defending in our box.
"He's brilliant. I'm really, really delighted for him. He doesn't carry any weight. He always wants to do well."
Mixture
Pulis was pleased with his team's first-half showing while he was also delighted to see another side to his players when they needed to dig deep after the interval.
The Ewood Park faithful have been less than forgiving to manager Steve Kean this term, but Pulis felt they were excellent in their support towards Rovers overall.
"I thought first half we played well. We played some good stuff," he continued. "It was a real mixture today.
"You have to credit them. They've got some great quality from their set plays in the box. They've got a big, big team.
"They kept going for Steve. If they do that in their remaining games they'll pick up points, don't worry about that.
"I thought the supporters were brilliant today. They stuck with their team all the way through, you can't ask for more than that."
