Gunners shot-stopper eyes United revenge
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is hoping to rectify their humiliating 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Gunners were put to the sword by Sir Alex Ferguson's men in August, with the Premier League champions running out emphatic winners.
Arsene Wenger's troops have had to live with the thrashing for five months ahead of Sunday's mouth-watering clash at Emirates Stadium.
The Polish shot-stopper is excited ahead of the big kick-off, stating he will be trying harder than ever to make up for the heavy defeat.
Excited
"Obviously I want to make up for what happened at Old Trafford last time around, so I am very excited about the game," Szczesny told
Arsenal Player.
"Somewhere in the back of our heads, that game will still be there and we want to make up for it.
"We just have to focus on our own game, to make sure we are at our best.
"It is motivation for us now, but as soon as we get on the pitch, we will forget about it."
Mistakes
Szczesny feels he can step things up on Sunday, adding: "The last couple of matches for me have been poor, I made some mistakes and was at fault for some of the goals.
"All I can do is work hard and know that sooner or later the performances will come back.
"But you cannot blame yourself too much, you have to get on with it and move on to the next one, to make sure it does not happen again."
