Everton look to finalise deal for Greek star

Everton are hoping to finalise a deal with AEK Athens after firming up their interest in defender Kostas Manolas, Sky Sports understands. Sky Sports exclusively revealed Everton's interest in the Greek defender last month, and since then David Moyes has confirmed his interest in the 20-year-old. Now Moyes is looking to conclude a deal before Tuesday's transfer deadline. With Manolas out of contract in the summer, AEK are now ready to cash in on one of their prized assets. Everton are understood to have lodged a €500,000 (£419,000) bid with AEK, who are now considering the bid, although there is believed to be a rival offer on the table. The Toffees are now pushing for an answer as they need to conclude the deal before Tuesday's deadline.
