Blackpool boss hoping keeper accepts contract extension

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is still waiting for goalkeeper Mark Howard to make a decision on the offer of a contract extension. Howard joined the Seasiders in September on a short-term arrangement and he has made five appearances during his time at Bloomfield Road. He has now been offered a deal until the end of the season and Holloway is hoping the shot-stopper decides to stay with the Championship club. "I told him what I think he should do and what I would do in his position, but he has to make his mind up," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette. "We have offered him a wage rise backdated to when he first signed for us. He also has incentives to get him to the figure he wants quickly if he carries on playing. "I hope he signs but he needs to want to play for us. I don't want anybody who isn't fully committed."
