Nouble to fight for Hammers spot

Sky Sports understands West Ham striker Frank Nouble has turned down a move to Crawley Town. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Crawley were hoping to sign Nouble after agreeing a fee with West Ham for the 20-year-old. The England Under 19 international, who scored on his only start for West Ham in the Championship this term against Derby, is well down the pecking order at Upton Park. However, Nouble, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has snubbed the offer at Crawley and is ready to fight for his place at West Ham. "I am flattered by the interest from Crawley, but I have turned down the chance to move there," Nouble told Sky Sports. "I have scored in the Championship and I did well out on loan at Gillingham and I want to fight for my place at West Ham. "I believe I can do a job in the Championship for West Ham if I am given the chance."
