Arsenal attacker Tomas Rosicky believes Saturday's emphatic 7-1 victory over Blackburn will inspire his side to push for a top-four spot.
Robin van Persie completed a hat-trick, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain grabbed a brace and Mikel Arteta also got in on the act before Arsenal legend Thierry Henry finished off the rout.
And Rosicky, 31, featured for the full 90 minutes at the Emirates Stadium as he continues to enjoy a run in Arsene Wenger's starting line-up.
The Czech Republic captain, who has started in three of the last four outings for the club, acknowledges his side have suffered a dip in form but believes such a comprehensive win will inspire Arsenal to push for a top-four spot in the Premier League.
"We recently had an unsuccessful spell so this is something we can build on," he told the club's
official website.
Confidence
"We can be happy after this game but the most important thing is to carry a performance like that and fight for a Champions League spot.
"It was a game when almost everything went in and it's good for confidence. But it does not matter if it was seven goals or one. The most important thing is the performance and the fact we can repeat it."
With 14 points from their last 10 matches, Rosicky recognises the fans have been disgruntled but expects his team-mates to continue to focus on their performances rather than their critics.
"That is today's world," he added. "It is a very crazy but that is what you can expect if you lose three times in a row. The important thing is for us not to listen to that, keep working and produce another performance like Saturday's.
"We were five points behind fourth place and that is nothing in today's football at this stage of the season. If we perform like this I have no doubt we will be there."
