Wolves defender Sebastien Bassong has revealed that he hopes to return from injury against Newcastle on February 25.

Wolves defender Sebastien Bassong has revealed that he hopes to return from injury against Newcastle on February 25. The on-loan defender had to withdraw with a hamstring problem with half an hour to play in the 5-1 defeat to West Brom on Sunday. It was only his second appearance for the club after making a winning debut in the 2-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers a week earlier. The 25-year-old is on a season-long loan from Tottenham and will be hoping to make a return against his former club Newcastle, for whom he played for before joining Spurs in 2009. He said on Twitter: "Scan done, just got the result, nothing big. If everything is going well, should be back for Newcastle."
