Pars boss departs East End Park
Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre has parted company with the Scottish Premier League side after just over four years in charge.
The Pars have not won at East End Park all season and have only recorded two victories since August to leave them four points adrift of Hibernian.
The Fife club are currently sitting rock bottom of the division - a massive 56 points behind leaders Celtic.
McIntyre took charge of Dunfermline in December 2007 following the sacking of Stephen Kenny.
And in the 2010/11 season, McIntyre led the club to the first division title and promotion back to the top flight, eventually winning the league by ten points, ahead of Raith Rovers.
But, the board seem to have finally lost patience with the 39-year-old after a disappointing campaign with the club currently on a run of eight games without a win.
The club confirmed the move in a brief statement on their
official website:
"It is with great regret that the board of directors at Dunfermline Athletic Football Club have agreed to terminate the contract of Jim McIntyre with immediate effect," the statement read.
"All at DAFC wish Jim the very best in the future and would like to thank him for his past contributions, both as a player and a manager."
