Rovers boss hoping Liverpool take their eye off the ball at Ewood
Blackburn boss Steve Kean hopes Liverpool will have one eye on the FA Cup semi-finals when they visit Ewood Park on Tuesday.
A busy Easter weekend for Rovers sees them travel to West Brom on Saturday, before playing host to Kenny Dalglish's Reds three days later.
A glamour tie with Liverpool is already occupying Kean's thoughts, as his side bid to preserve their top flight status.
He feels it could be a good time to face the Merseyside outfit, with their recent league form offering hope to their upcoming opponents.
The Reds are also readying themselves for a Wembley date with arch-rivals Everton in the last four of the FA Cup.
Kean concedes that Dalgish's side remain a force to be reckoned with, but believes they could be distracted when they make the short journey to Ewood Park.
Advantage
"I think it is fine margins," he told
Sky Sports News HD.
"There have been games where I have seen them playing and they have done very well in the first part of the game, had lots of chances but not managed to score. Then, like any game, the opposition get a little bit of a spell in the game where they have a decent bit of possession.
"But any game that I have seen them in, they have always started the games very well.
"They have got quality players, no matter who they play, so it will be a tough game for us. But at home we have been performing well and I think both of these games that are coming up have come at a good time for us."
Kean added: "They will certainly have one eye on the cup competition.
"Playing them when we are playing them is at a good time because, the players that are playing there, it's very difficult not to be thinking about the semi-final. We are going to try and use that to our advantage."
