French striker focused on finishing strongly with Montpellier

Reported Arsenal target Olivier Giroud refuses to be distracted by ongoing transfer speculation and insists he is focused on a strong finish with Montpellier. The France international, who has scored 18 goals for the Ligue 1 leaders this season, has been heavily linked with a summer move to the Premier League. Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is thought to be targeting the 25-year-old striker as he looks to bolster his attacking options. However, Giroud is ignoring the rumours surrounding him in favour of concentrating on Montpellier as they target UEFA Champions League football and the French title. He told Ligue1.com: "I can't let it (transfer talk) trouble me. "I want to carry on being good with Montpellier and keep producing what I've done since the start of the season and take the club where it should be, into the Champions League or even higher."
