Rovers boss believes now is a good time to face Swansea
Steve Kean is adamant he can mastermind a way out of the drop zone for Blackburn Rovers by ending their poor recent run with a win at Swansea on Saturday.
Rovers have lost their last four games and are now sitting three points from safety with Bolton above them with a game in hand.
But Kean believes a return to the form last month that earned back-to-back wins over Wolves and Sunderland would put the pressure on the teams around them and boost their bid for Premier League survival.
Kean said: "We've worked on the bits we feel we can improve on and we'll go down to Swansea and try to do the double over them.
Confident
"They've got a very good home record but we know if we can get a clean sheet and a victory, and then match what we did against Wolves and Sunderland, where we had back-to-back victories and back-to-back clean sheets, then the whole table changes again. We're still confident we can get into a good position."
With away days at both Tottenham and Chelsea before the end of the season, the trip to Swansea represents possibly their best chance of securing some much needed points on the road.
The Welsh side started the season brightly but have hit a sticky patch of their own with four straight defeats and Kean will be hoping to continue that run.
"At the moment they're not as fluid, they've obviously picked up a couple of defeats," added Kean.
"We've got to think about how we went about the first game, what was successful, what we can improve on over the last few weeks and put that together. I think it's a good time to go there."
