Newcastle and France star claims he is a team player now

Hatem Ben Arfa believes he is a more peaceful and mature person as he waits to discover if he will be part of France's Euro 2012 squad. Ben Arfa has experienced disappointment in the past having been cut from an extended French squad ahead of the 2008 European Championships. The Newcastle midfielder was then omitted completely from Raymond Domenech's 2010 World Cup squad, after enduring a difficult relationship with Marseille boss Didier Deschamps. New national team coach Laurent Blanc must whittle his training squad down to 23 by May 29th and Ben Arfa insists he is comfortable whatever the outcome. "I am more peaceful now," Ben Arfa told reporters at France's training camp in Clairefontaine on the outskirts of Paris. "I make more efforts for the others. Every failure makes you grow. I have evolved and at 25 I think I'm more mature than when I was 20." "Obviously you wonder what is going to happen but I have no hunch. I just hope I will be in the squad. "I still remember the shocks of 2008 and 2010. If it has to happen, I will adapt." France are in Group D with Sweden, England and co-hosts Ukraine.
