Striker admits he wants to end his career with Boca Juniors
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez says he has no desire to leave the club but dreams of ending his career at boyhood side Boca Juniors.
The Argentina international was at the centre of controversy last season when he missed five months of the campaign after a fall-out with manager Roberto Mancini.
Tevez took himself off to his homeland but eventually returned and apologised to the Italian, and even played a part in helping City beat Manchester United to the Premier League title.
He has now gone back to Argentina for the summer and, speaking at an event organised by Boca Juniors, outlined his short and long-term plans.
"My biggest wish is to finish my career in the Boca shirt," he told
FoxSports.
"I am still thinking the same as when I left, I want to retire here. I am here for whatever Boca need.
"But the truth is that I finished the season very happy in England.
Feeling good
"I am feeling good, I have no desire to be thinking that I want to leave, my family are happy."
Tevez's self-imposed exile from the City team also prevented him from playing for his national side, but he insists it had not bothered him too much and he is looking forward to a recall.
"I did not miss the Seleccion. I was happier watching from outside," he said when asked about the country's 4-0 victory over Ecuador at the weekend.
"I liked the team but for now I do not want to be there. When I am called I will be there, of course."
