Former Crawley skipper taking time to assess situation

Former Crawley skipper Pablo Mills has welcomed speculation linking him with a return to Rotherham this summer. The 28-year-old is a free agent after being released by the Red Devils following a successful two-year spell in West Sussex. The tough-tackling centre-half enjoyed four years with the Millers prior to joining Crawley in 2010, making over 150 appearances. The South Yorkshire outfit are rebuilding under manager Steve Evans, who left Crawley in March to take charge, and Mills has told Sky Sports that he is keen to find a club that matches his ambition to gain promotion next season. He said: "It is natural that I will be instantly linked with a club like Rotherham because of my past spell there and also the fact that the manager there is one that I have worked with recently.

Vision

"If he does want to speak to me then I am open to doing so because he has been able to get the best out of me during the time we spent together at Crawley. "I've been in this situation before and it is always good to have a fresh challenge to look forward to. "A lot of people raised eyebrows when I joined Crawley, but I saw the vision and ambition in place there. "I'm very much looking forward to replicating the success I had at Crawley with whichever club I join over the summer. "I've got to take time to assess my situation and patient to find the right club that suits me and can bring the best out of me again."
