Defender waiting to see if SPL champions agree deal with Rovers
Tranmere Rovers full-back Danny Holmes says he would be 'delighted' to have the opportunity to join Celtic if the two clubs can agree a fee.
Holmes impressed at Prenton Park last season and his performances for the League One club saw him linked with the likes of Liverpool and Rangers.
However, SPL champions Celtic are reported to be leading the chase for the 23-year-old, who would be prepared to move to Parkhead.
"At present I am a Tranmere Rovers player and will continue to give 100 per cent to the club," Holmes told the
Daily Record.
"Like any other player I want to play at the highest level and if a club as big as Celtic want me and agree with Tranmere Rovers, then I'll be delighted to move to Scotland."

Rovers recently exercised a one-year option on Holmes' contract and the defender's agent Jonathan Hope is waiting to see what develops.
Hope said: "A number of clubs are chasing Danny and one of those clubs is Celtic.
"But with Tranmere exercising their one-year option I will only be contacted if the clubs agree a deal.
"We know of Championship interest but Scotland is the better option and Celtic is a club he would be extremely interested in joining."
