New Watford owners looking elsewhere

Sky Sports understands Watford have pulled out of a deal for Tom Heaton following the recent takeover of the club. The Championship side had agreed terms with the former Cardiff City goalkeeper and he was due to be confirmed as a Hornets player this week. Heaton was aware of the takeover when he held talks with Watford, but was told that he would be one of the first signings under the new regime. However, they have now opted not to finalise the move, leaving Heaton to re-open talks with interested clubs.
