Striker must go back to the drawing board in his search

Emile Heskey is still looking for a new club this season after turning down the chance to sign for Blackpool. The former England international has been out of contract since leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season when his contract expired and has been training with former club Wigan in recent weeks. The 34-year-old has been linked with a move to a number of Championship sides including Blackburn, Ipswich and Hull City over the summer. Blackpool boss Ian Holloway had hoped to beat them to his signature while he was in the North West with Wigan only to be turned down. "Unfortunately he has got other things in the pipeline and he is not interested in coming to us," said Holloway. "So that is dead and buried."
