Oscar

The manager was impressed by the way youngster Oscar held his own in midfield, particularly under pressure from Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla. He added: "You can't allow them to get into the rhythm and we did that well. With Oscar on Arteta, and Cazorla, we didn't give them much time and space." Torres was back to his goalscoring ways but Di Matteo insists he has not had a problem with the striker's performances this season even when he has not found the back of the net. Asked if the Spaniard is happier and back to his best, the manager said: "I've always said that he was happy. "You tend to maybe overanalyse a bit too much. I was always happy with his contribution. Today he scored a great goal as well and he was very good." John Terry was in Di Matteo's starting XI after a turbulent week off the pitch that saw him found guilty of using racist language towards Anton Ferdinand by a Football Association hearing. The manager added: "He showed his leadership today again and it was right to pick him."
