West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has revealed England striker Andy Carroll is set to return from a hamstring injury in Monday's Premier League clash at QPR.

"The only time it really came to fruition was the Fulham game in the first half, where we banged in three of the five chances we had and the game was over. "The rest of the time, home and away, we haven't been clinical enough converting chances into goals. That's a bit of a problem as the season goes on." However, Allardyce's assistant Neil McDonald has warned the Hammers must not rush Carroll back into action too quickly. "It will be a big blow if he comes back too early and injures himself as he's an important member of the squad," said McDonald.
