Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has insisted that he has no plans to sign any players at the moment.
The Championship club have been linked with a loan move for Leicester City striker Chris Wood in recent days, having reportedly missed out on him on a permanent deal in the summer.
However, Jackett claims that he is not in talks with anyone at the moment, but is open to recruiting if the right kind of player becomes available.
“We haven’t got anybody we’re right in for at the moment,” he told The Express & Star. “Do we think anybody is coming in for the weekend? No, not necessarily.
“We’re always looking to improve, but we’re not signing anyone imminently at the moment
“It has to be somebody we want to work with and think can improve us and as the standards go higher that becomes more difficult.
“If there’s a player there we think comes into that category, and we can say ‘we’ll have a look at him for a few months and he can look at us’, then turn it into a permanent later, then that’s an option.”
