Monday 15 September 2014 13:49, UK
Watford head coach Oscar Garcia will not take charge of the team for Tuesday’s Sky Bet Championship game at Blackpool after suffering minor chest pains.
The 41-year-old Spaniard spent Sunday night in hospital after checking in earlier in the day and he was due to undergo further tests on Monday.
Garcia missed training on Monday as a result and will also be absent when the Hornets make the trip to Bloomfield Road.
Assistant coaches Ruben Martinez and Javier Pereira will take over the reins for the game against the Seasiders.
Former Brighton boss Garcia was appointed head coach at Vicarage Road on September 2 following the departure of Beppe Sannino.
Watford were beaten 1-0 at Charlton on Saturday in his first game in charge.
A statement on Watford's website read: "The club wishes Oscar a speedy recovery and will keep supporters fully updated about the head coach's condition."
