Sky Bet League Two: Keith Curle named Carlisle manager

Keith Curle has been named as the new manager of Sky Bet League Two strugglers Carlisle United.
The Cumbrians, who are bottom of the entire Football League going into the weekend, parted company with Graham Kavanagh on September 1 in the wake of their 5-0 thrashing by Cambridge.
Curle, who has managed Chester, Torquay and Notts County, will take charge of Carlisle for Saturday’s game with Mansfield, where he began his managerial career.
Colin West, who worked with Curle at Notts County, will be his assistant manager at Brunton Park.
Curle's contract takes him to the end of next season.
"This is a very real challenge," Curle told the club's official website.
"I started at the bottom in my playing career and worked my way up to the top through a lot of hard work and dedication. We need to do the exact same job here because it's obvious where we are in the league.
"It's been made clear to me through some very honest meetings with the board what is required and I think I can bring that to the table.
"I'm professional, disciplined and organised and I've got a good eye for emerging talent. I know how the game needs to be played to win points, which is obviously vitally important."
