Stefan Scepovic hopes to have shown his worth to Celtic after finally opening his account for the Scottish champions.

The 24-year-old Serbia international has struggled to secure a regular role since a £2.3m move from Sporting Gijon in the summer.

But he made his mark in a rare start against Astra Giurgiu, netting the opener in last Thursday’s 2-1 Europa League win.

Scepovic then added his second goal for the Hoops in Sunday’s 2-0 league victory over Kilmarnock and feels part of the squad following a six-game barren run.

"I feel very good," he said. "It is important as a striker to score goals, but the most important thing is that we won the games and we need to continue like this.

"I said when I came that it would take time to adapt to the football here and the manager and everyone at the club has helped me.

"You just need to believe in yourself, train hard every session and be ready when you get the chance.

"I always believed in myself and of course when you score goals it is more easier to get confidence and be in the group.

"Not just because of the goals, but you get more confidence."

He is expected to retain his strike partnership with John Guidetti in Wednesday’s Scottish League Cup quarter-final clash against Partick Thistle.

The Swede, who opened the scoring against Killie, has suggested that Celtic can win a quadruple of trophies this season and Scepovic shares his confidence.

"It is possible, why not?" said Scepovic. "Everything is possible.

"We are at a big club and we need to believe in our team-mates and everybody who works at the club.

"But we have to think about the next game which is tomorrow.

"Every game is important and it will not be easy. We will need to be at it 100 percent."
