Pearson hit out on Tuesday night after watching his side lose 3-1 at home to Liverpool, a result which left them rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

The defeat was Leicester's second loss in four days following the 3-2 defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, and Pearson revealed he had a disagreement with a home fan sitting in the stands at the King Power Stadium.

"I replied to one idiot in the stands and if he doesn't like what he sees, then don't bother coming," Pearson told Sky Sports.

"Maybe they ought to think about staying at home, we need support their support. We've worked hard tonight and will continue to do so."

Leicester had taken a 22nd-minute lead when Leonardo Ulloa's shot bounced back off the post and went in off Simon Mignolet, but Liverpool soon hit back through Adam Lallana.
