Premier League: Tottenham need to forget about Chelsea loss quickly, insists Jan Vertonghen

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Jan Vertonghen has said that he and his team-mates need to start defending better, beginning with Saturday's Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
The north London club lost 3-0 to arch-rivals Chelsea on Wednesday night, with Vertonghen partly at fault for the Blues’ final goal scored by striker Loic Remy.
And the Belgium international insists that he is hurting after that setback at Stamford Bridge.
"It does really hurt," Vertonghen told Soccer Saturday. "I do not think that it was a big mistake of Hugo [Lloris], of course he miskicked it a bit, but they still had a lot to do after.
“I think defensively we should have done a lot better on all three goals. If you see the Kevin Mirallas last goal against us [for Everton last Sunday], that was just a very good goal.
“And Chelsea’s first goal was too, but after that we just did not defend very well and we gave them the opportunity to score.”
However, the central defender says that with the next league encounter coming around the corner so soon in the form of another London derby against struggling Palace at White Hart Lane, then he and his fellow Spurs players have an immediate chance to right the wrongs from midweek.
“I do not feel good at all at the moment now, I am happy that there is a game again on Saturday, so we can try to forget,” he added.
