Leicester defender Marcin Wasilewski has confirmed he has signed a one-year contract extension at the King Power Stadium.
The 35-year-old Poland star, who joined Leicester in September 2013 after six seasons at Belgian club Anderlecht, played a significant role in helping the Foxes complete a remarkable surge to Premier League safety.
Wasikewski posted a picture on a social media account saying: "Today, I signed a new contract at #LCFC".
The Foxes said the new deal also includes the option of a one-year extension.
I love him, he's great. Centre-backs who enjoy defending are a dying breed.
"He (Wasilewski) played a vital role in his side's surge to Barclays Premier League survival, helping them secure five clean sheets in their final seven fixtures," said a club statement.
Leicester manager Nigel Pearson previously said of the veteran: "I love him, he's great. Centre-backs who enjoy defending are a dying breed.
"He is an exceptionally honest professional who knows the game.
"He is a good player as well. I am not saying he is just an honest player and tough, he is a very knowledgeable defender."
