PSG midfielder Marco Verratti's agent has slammed rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona.
Reports in the Spanish press claimed Verratti's agent met Barcelona presidential candidate Toni Freixa, fuelling rumours of a possible move to the Nou Camp for the Italy international.
Despite being unable to complete player registrations and field new signings until January due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban, Barcelona are looking to strengthen their midfield following the departure of captain Xavi, and Verratti is among the reported candidates.
But Verratti's agent, Donati Di Campli, insists the 22-year-old is unlikely to leave the Ligue 1 champions any time soon.
"I haven't seen Freixa, as was reported in the media, but I have spoken to him on the telephone," he told Sky Italia.
"But I speak with a lot of people every day and it doesn't mean anything.
"Marco is absolutely calm, he is happy in Paris and has a long-term contract. Whoever wants him needs to get in contact directly with Paris St Germain and not with us.
"There's nothing else for us to add."
Verratti joined PSG from Pescara in summer 2012 and has made 88 appearances to help the French giants win three straight Ligue 1 crowns.
He is currently under contract with Laurent Blanc's side for another four seasons.
