Partick v Rangers preview: Gers look to bounce back after defeat
Monday 5 February 2018 15:04, UK
Rangers are looking to bounce back from defeat against Hibernian on Saturday as they go to Patrick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership.
Saturday's loss left Rangers in third place, six points behind Aberdeen and 14 behind Celtic, but with this game in hand.
Partick have lost just two of their last seven games, and sit a point above the relegation play-off place in 10th.
But Partick have picked up just a single point against Rangers from a possible 36 in the Scottish Premiership (P12 D1 L11).
In his pre-match press conference, Rangers boss Graham Murty was still hurting from the result against Hibs, but was eager to put things right on Tuesday.
"There are fine margins, and the higher up the league you go, the more fine they become. We lost a game we should have won.
"This is an opportunity for us to go and put things right, and to put more points on the board. For all we are disappointed with the result, there are positives we can take. I expect a tough game and a tough challenge."
Team news
Kenny Miller is back in the Rangers squad after a long-term injury, while Jordan Rossiter is nearly fit again to be considered.
For Partick, Connor Sammon is back available for the clash.
