Port Vale coasted to an FA Cup second round home date with Accrington after a 4-0 replay win over Dartford.
The writing was already on the wall with mounting pressure from Vale before Paul Goodacre tripped Gary Roberts to concede a 17th-minute penalty. Marc Richards sent Andrew Young the wrong way from the spot and Richards captalised on poor defending from the Blue Square South League outfit to add his second nine minutes later. Dartford almost got a lift in the 56th minute when Stuart Tomlinson made a tremendous save from Lee Burns, but the game was over less than a minute later. Rob Taylor bent over a cross from the right wing and the ball travelled all the way to the back post where Sean Rigg side-footed home from point-blank range. Justin Richards clipped Vale's fourth, his first goal for 14 games, 18 minutes from time.
