Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Port Vale and Luton Town

Luton's winless run in League One extended to four matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw away at bottom side Port Vale.

Nahki Wells put the Hatters ahead early on, but Ben Waine drew the Valiants level just before the half-hour mark.

The result sees Luton remain in 10th place, while Vale are still firmly rooted to the foot of the table despite making it three games without defeat and registering five points in the process.

The visitors took the lead in the fifth minute, with Wells tapping the ball in from Emilio Lawrence's cross for his sixth goal of the season in all competitions.

They came close to doubling their advantage in the 28th minute, but Vale goalkeeper Joe Gauci produced an excellent save to tip Nigel Lonwijk's header over the crossbar.

The hosts equalised moments later through Waine, who calmly slotted home after being set through on goal by George Hall, as the teams went in level at the break.

The second half got off to a slow start with little goalmouth action, but Vale threatened to go in front just before the hour mark when Jayden Stockley saw his header from Hall's free-kick delivery well saved by Josh Keeley.

Luton substitute Ali Al-Hamadi forced a good stop out of Gauci before Vale substitute Martin Sherif brought Keeley into action with a bending left-footed effort as the match neared its conclusion.

But neither team was able to find a winner with the spoils shared.
