Rose earns Shakers a point

Super sub Danny Rose netted an injury-time equaliser to salvage battling Bury a 2-2 draw at in-form Scunthorpe.
But the result was still good enough to lift Scunthorpe back to the top of League Two and extend their unbeaten run to 26 games. All the goals came in the second period after two teams who have been in good form produced a stalemate first half with defences very much in command. Scunthorpe finally made the breakthrough in the 62nd minute when Hakeeb Adelukan fired a shot back into a crowded box and Paddy Madden stretched out a foot to deflect it past keeper Brian Jensen for his fourth goal for the club. But seven minutes later Bury, looking for a fourth successive win, were back on level terms thanks to Tom Soares' glancing header. It was the first goal Scunthorpe had conceded in six games and they replied with a double substitution which breathed new life into them. They regained the lead in the 77th minute after referee Andy Haines pointed to the penalty spot when winger Terry Hawkridge was brought down in the box by Danny Mayor. Substitute Paul Hayes saw his spot-kick blocked out by Jensen but followed up to force the ball home at the second attempt. It looked like being the winner until Rose popped up four minutes into stoppage time to curl in an equaliser from the edge of the box.
