Caleb Taylor scored a 90th-minute winner as Wycombe defeated Stevenage 1-0 at Adams Park to keep their hopes of automatic promotion alive.
The third-placed Chairboys are just a point behind second-placed Wrexham, who drew 0-0 at Wigan, with four matches to play.
Richard Kone had the best chance early on but the Ivorian inexplicably headed wide from close range.
Luke Leahy then saw his shot blocked by Luther James-Wildin, before Fred Onyedinma's cross skimmed the top of the net.
